We would like everyone to be able to use this website, and to visit the salon comfortably. If anything below does not answer your question, please ring Michelle on 07964 603216 — she would far rather talk it through than have you turn up unsure.

Getting in

B Hair Studio is at 57a Upper High Street, Taunton, TA1 3PY, opposite the white gates to Vivary Park.

The way in is: the front door from the street, then a shared corridor, then a second door into the studio.

• The step. There is one step down from the street, through the front door into the shared corridor. It is a single step, not a flight — and so it is one step up on the way back out, which is worth knowing before you book.
• The doors. Both are easy to open.
• Waiting. There is a chair to sit on while you wait.
• Assistance dogs are very welcome.

During your appointment

• Michelle is not able to lift or help transfer anyone into the styling chair. If that is something you need, please bring someone with you who can help.
• She can, however, move the styling chair aside and cut your hair with you in your own wheelchair.

Toilets

There are steps to the toilet, so the premises are not fully accessible throughout. If this matters for your visit, please ring ahead so we can talk it through.

Parking

The nearest parking is High Street Car Park (multi-storey) at Old Pig Market, TA1 3PJ, a short walk from the salon. It has 12 disabled bays. The directions page has the rest of the parking details.

If you have particular access needs, or someone is coming with you, please call ahead on 07964 603216. We would rather tell you exactly what to expect beforehand and make arrangements where we can.

This website

The site has been built and checked with accessibility in mind:

• Every page has a single clear main heading, with headings in a sensible order.
• Every image has alternative text describing it.
• Text and links meet the WCAG 2.2 AA contrast ratio against their background.
• The whole site can be used with a keyboard alone, and keyboard focus is clearly visible.
• There is a “skip to content” link at the top of every page.
• The questions and answers use the browser’s own collapsible controls, so they work with a keyboard and with screen readers.
• The site can be read with JavaScript turned off. Where JavaScript is used — the photo carousel, and loading the TikTok videos on Anastasia’s page — it only adds to what is already there.
• The photo carousel on the homepage has a pause button, and does not run at all if your device is set to reduce motion.
• Nothing flashes, and no audio plays on its own.

We are a small independent salon rather than a web team, and we have aimed to meet WCAG 2.2 AA rather than to claim perfect conformance. If something does not work for you, please tell us.
